I have a Jeep Wrangler "fun vehicle" that ends up sitting in the driveway for long periods of time, and I live in the woods. This means lots of sappy drippings land on the top. Decided to spring for a real vinyl top cleaner to see if it would make any inroads on several years of built-up dirt on the top. This stuff really works when you follow the directions AND use a horsehair brush. I tried it first with a rag, and although it cleaned the top some, I went through a good portion of the bottle without the top getting as clean as I wanted. I went back inside, and found an old shoe-shine brush that I had sitting around (never used). That made all the difference. I was able to re-do the entire top using only a fraction of the amount of cleaner I used the first time, and all but the hardiest of the sappy dirt was removed. I plan on washing the top a second time (once I put it back up - the weather has been nice and its been down for a month and a half now) and I am fairly confident that it will look all but new when I am done.
